Now, if I can make just one more suggestion? Personally, I like to show just a bit of shirt sleeve past the cuff of my jacket, say about 1/4 to 1/2". It's a detail that ties into the collar of the shirt and breaks up the mass of a jacket. Maybe your shirt's sleeves are a bit short, or you buttoned them tightly, or you just need to "shoot" them out past the jacket cuff....
Very helpful suggestion that I will take into account in the future. The one pictured is just a neat sport shirt that I picked up second hand. I'm pretty tall so the sleeves of most sport shirts that actually fit me are too short. I am currently in the market for a selection of properly fitted dress shirts.
