I don't wear boots unless I absolutely have to. They're heavy and they make my feet sweat like there's no tomorrow. However, if there's snow on the ground, I'll wear 'em.

I wear a kilt....either tartan or camouflage....to work at the Big U probably three days a week. Most of the time I have boots on for this. They're black, cordura/leather boots made for UPS drivers and the like. They're comfortable, not too hot, and because I have dinosaur calves, they kind of balance out how my legs look.

Every couple of weeks I'll put on real kilt hose and wear brogues (not "gillie brogues") with the kilt, instead.

And of course when I'm backpacking, I've got on boots...

    Chris.
I like these. If I was to wear boots with a kilt I think these would be them.

Nice. Look like they would work well with the courtroom camoflauge I wear to work. Would they happen to be safety-toe as well? (I'm thinking newuniform boots that willblend better at my day job)

Well now, that's a very different boot option than the one you posted for me in my shoe thread.
    Good choice.
