    In situations such as you describe, as well as when traveling, this is my go-to sporran. I made it from a "guide bag" I picked up at an outdoor outfitters. It has loads of internal pockets and slots for folding knife, cell phone, wallet, passport, change, flashlight, and all the usual items I don't like to be without.



    Since this photo was made I've added a pewter Celtic knot button to the flap.

    I second the Buzz Kidder vote. If you're worried about the tassels getting yanked on, or whatever, BK makes a couple of models w/o tassels.

    I like that one too, even though the stud on mine tends to work loose, creating a risk of losing it; I have to check the stud whenever I put the sporran on.
