What's my favorite sporran? If by that, you mean which sporran I wear most in the modern style, it would have to be a Stillwater Nightstalker - brown leather, black leather, or black nylon.

Another modern alternative, worn only with camo kilts, is a Spec-Ops pocket organizer re-purposed as a sporran. Have a look: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xY6RiSfA2PM

Sometimes a sporran is not worn at all. UtiliKilts, Freedom Kilts, and other have pockets.

Alan H., sorry, there have been quite a few "what's your favorite xxx" threads lately, and I completely overlooked which sub-forum this thread was in.

At least my nightstalker vote stands.

This is the modern kilt wear forum, right? So I am confused as to why quite a few guys are posting pictures and talking about rather traditional-looking sporrans here, shown against very traditional-looking tartan kilts or fabric.

Hey, you all can do that...I mean, there aren't any rules that say you can't, but it seems to me that these pictures belong in the traditional kilt wear sub-forum, or perhaps the Kilt accessories sub-forum.

Certainly the stillwater kilts leather/cordura sporran belongs here, but....?

    Thoughts?
As for me, I simply didn't notice what sub-forum this was posted in. The way I read X Marks, I click on the "New Posts" button and scroll down to see what thread titles interest me. So I look at the thread title first, and what sub-forum it might be in second.

In this case the "show us your favorite sporran" thread title grabbed my attention, and I didn't even think to look what sub-forum it might be in.

Sorry if that bothers anyone, but please don't give it any more weight than it deserves.

All are sporrans I made and I like them as they are rather unique to me and reflect my personality to a degree.

This is exactly what I do. I have never paid any attention to what sub forum I was in because I just click the NEW POST tab and start reading and replying. I had no idea this was supposed to be about modern sporrans until Alan said something. I think this is where we sometimes run head long into each other and start bothering one another completely unintentionally.

Kiltedwolfman - That Decepticon sporran goes very well with the purple tartan. I applaud you for wearing it.

Cheers mate. Whenever I wear it though I feel some strange need to horde energon and take over the galaxy...I'm not sure why.
