alternative take on ghillie brogues

I would think they would be similar to Roman sandals that are about the same height. Overall, it would probably feel like wearing a tall boot.

Should hose be worn with them?

I stumbled across ghillie brogues made by the fashion house Givenchy. They range from a simple variation on the old standard to very modernist.

Here are a few pics. Any thoughts?

I guess this would be one of the situations where one would wear black leggings.

Incedently, I did see a kilted goth type walking in the street in a tiny village here in Holland. I was in the car and didn't have time to make a pic. It would have gone well here I think.
