I've never seen the sort of 'sgian don't' before. Given the increased intolerance towards knives that is being shown in many places, I imagine we'll be seeing more and more of this sort of thing. I've even seen a few really nice quality sgian brews floating around: carved black wooden handles, silver fittings, etc.

A Black Watch sgian belonging to a long departed uncle. Apart from the blade(razor sharp) the metal work is silver gilt and with a real Cairngorm stone, made by Hamilton and Inches(I cannot date it as the date hallmark cannot be read). It is the only one I carry.

That is a beauty Jock and also a nice piece of history. I can see why it is the only one you need!
