Well, you have two options from Prince George -- Coquihalla Hwy or Fraser Canyon. Drive safely.

Are you traveling with someone, or by yourself? Just figuring out transportation....me in the beat-up Subaru station wagon, Steve in the 2-seater Jaguar convertible....

Bobbie, I am flying solo, so either mode of transit works.

"Either mode of transport works" What??? huh??? you would choose something, over my Jaguar??? I'm crushed.
I will have to go out and sooth the hurt feelings of my car after comments like that.

@The Wizard of BC , my first response was .... even if I wasn't travelling alone, I might make my wife take a bus to ride in the Jag .... but then I remembered that some of those at kilt kamp are of the fairer sex, and so thought better of it.

Three hour delay because of a punctured tire today, so I didn't make it to Prince George. The best laid plans....
So now I'm in Chetwynd and hoping I can still manage to make it by Friday
Given a choice, I would definitely opt for the Jag.

I visit Chetwynd occasionally for work ....not sure if it would be the ideal place to have an unplanned layover. Good chance to get some rest before the rest of the trip, though. You should still be able to make Victoria by Friday evening, but it will be a lot of driving.
I am sure Steve is gratified about your preference for the Jag....I am such a disappointment to him.

Finally at friends' in Bellingham. now 1939 miles on the odometer. It was kind of a rough day, I'm tired, but I'd recommend the drive from Baker City, Oregon, to Yakima, Washington to anyone. I found it very interesting. Of course, beyond Yakima are the awe inspiring Cascades, with snow still on the peaks, but driving I-90 ruined it. Very heavy traffic, a challenging course through the mountains, incredible construction delays, and finally the pure driving hell of getting through Seattle. Looking forward to an easy trip of but a few miles from here to Vancouver Saturday.

Yes, driving through Seattle is rough ... glad you made it through in one piece with your sanity intact. Get some rest with your friends before tackling the ferry. The actual drive from Seattle to Tsawwassen is not difficult, but you will likely run into quite a bit of traffic as you get closer to the ferry terminal.
