Take them to some nearby Scottish games - working dogs, athletic competition, marching and all kinds of people in kilts!
That's a great suggestion. The Games around here usually have a service on Sunday morning, too.

I've been wanting a Witch Parking: All Others Will Be Toad sign to put in my driveway for years. If you can't laugh at yourself, what can you laugh at?

I regularly wear my kilt to church and the congregation all seem to miss it when I don't. Particularly, Christmas service, when I wear the full kit. Of course I attend a Presbyterian chruch, so maybe that's the difference.

I had the pleasure of visiting my sister and her husband this past weekend, and my wife and I attended their church on our final day. They are active members of an American Baptist church. I wore the kilt, and got no mention of it, negative or otherwise, from the congregation members.
I do not usually attend church, and have formally turned away from it. For those of you who know the bible, you'll appreciate the irony here: the topic of the sermon was the prophet Jonah.

So, how's the weather in Nineveh this morning? Sunny, windy?

Partly fishy, with a 50% chance of obliteration!

I have been following the thread with interest. I have attended a house of worship in trousers not more than five times in fifty-five years. I am Unitarian-Universalist, but have attended service in many other houses of worship over the years.
I have never been shunned for the wearing of the kilt.
