I live in Fairview NC, right outside of Asheville in Buncombe County. Great place. Right now, however, I'm at Covenant College, in Lookout Mountain Georgia, right across the border from Chattanooga Tennessee. Also a great place, and very friendly to Scots and Kilts ![Smile](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

I'm in Austell, GA, about 5 minutes away from Six Flags over Georgia, and about 10 minutes outside of the west side of Atlanta.

I agree too. Don't know how many times I've had occasion to wonder where a poster was from, then checked their profile to see, and still nothing.
Sure its fun to put something like "Up a canyon" but its more practical to go with more specific geography.

Hmmm. I wrote a nice perl/cgi program a year ago that lets people add their name and location to a big map, and is then displayed by a yellow square where they live. If anyone is interested, I'll see if I can find the code on one of my computers and set it up again, so we can get a visual representation.
Anyway, I live in nice, small Green's Corners, Ontario. It is in the south-west of the province, about 40 minutes south of Brantford. You will not find it on a map.

Even though it says where I live, I will get more specific. I live east of the University of Denver, in the Observatory Park section.
However at the posting of this I am sitting one hour south in Colorado Springs attending to some family business.

Technically speaking, I live in Catonsville, MD, after a long period of growing up in Pittsburgh, PA (GO STEELERS!!) and a stint in Washington, DC.
In the next five years, I hope to be out of the Chesapeake Bay Watershed and hopefully further north...like Vermont.

Good idea Hamish! To be specific Chatsworth is roughly100 miles north of Atlanta GA. and about 40 miles south of Chattanooga TN.Best of all its only 20 minutes away from the Cohutta wilderness area-some of the best hiking trails out there. :-D

Cohutta is beautiful, I went hunting there a couple of years ago, it was simply a gorgeous area.
