    Where are you?

Would it be possible for Newbies, in particular, to be asked specifically to provide at least a rough indication of their locations? I am not thinking necessarily of naming their home towns - unless they want to be that explicit - but maybe their State or, for example in the UK, their county.

I appreciate that provision is made for this in the exisiting profile area, but it is seldom used.

It would be so helpful to those reading the posts, especially those offering advice, if we all had some idea of everyone's location on this wonderful globe we inhabit.

I whole heartedly agree. I made the same suggestion about 4 months ago, and I think one person added a location. Let us know where you are guys, it makes it easier to avoid regional/national confusion with slang, plus you might find you have kilted neighbors.

Well, I'm still relatively new, so I'll start by saying that I'm located in Canton, Ohio, and my church is about 2 minutes from the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

And, no, I've never been there.

To the Hall of Fame, I mean. I've been to my church - hey, I work there.

Gee, I thought you might telecommute.

Good suggestion Hamish, I don't think it's any big invasion of privacy to offer such info.
I does help us get to know each other.

I'm in Somerset, Back Cam Road, about a mile off the highway on the top of the hill, driveway on the left hand side.

Pop in for a cuppa tea anytime :-D

Not a bad idea at all. I didn't even realize it was optional when I joined... not that I would have abstained. Seems like a logical request to let everyone in on the where abouts of our newest members.

A "master list" on the site somewhere might be neat also (be it by state/country/however) if people were willing to volounteer their info, make it super easy to see if anyone's near you.

Yeah, I'd be all for that too. Might make drumming up support for a local kilt night a little bit easier.
