It may well be a fanny pack, but it's a Scottish-themed fanny pack, and I'm just going to have to have one. Looks like it would be just the right size for a compact 9mm. Only thing though, would prefer it in leather.

You've got our mouths watering (cascading down the front of our kilts) and we want to get an idea of how much we must hide away!

Actually, I carry a bag (jokingly calling it my "Manbag") back and forth daily, and this would possibly be a great replacement!

And my darling wife says she needs to get me a sporran............

Great idea. Wish I had thought of it! Absolutely, positively have to have one. When can we order and how much do they cost? I agree with the previous post about having them made in leather.

OK, here's the deal. They will cost somewhere around $25-$30. I designed the prototype on my Mac using Adobe Illustrator, and sewed it myself, using the tassels from one of our generic sporrans. We are working to get this into production ASAP.

I really think fanny packs are more practical than most sporrans for life in the real world, the biggest drawback to a fanny pack is an aesthetic one- they don't look like a sporran. This is obviously not a sporran to wear in a traditional or formal setting, but I think it has its place for everyday use as a contemporary accessory. Should this item prove to be financially viable, we will certainly consider a leather one.

Some more details can be found in this excerpt from the upcoming ad copy: "...It is crafted from heavy-duty black ballistic-weave nylon with genuine leather trim. We naturally kept the classic flap front and three fringed leather tassels (would it be a proper sporran without it?), but now the leather-edged flap has an outer zippered compartment for your cash and ID, and it covers a handy front storage pocket that is perfect for your wallet, sunglasses, PDA or passport. That's about all I have to say. I really don't discuss work on this forum, I prefer to participate as an individual kilt-wearer, not a vendor. I too am very exited about these!
Hope things work out so that you can consider a leather one since I like the traditional look of leather much better.

Then I could start carying the Springer Micro again instead of just the NAA mini revolver clipped to the inside of my regular sporran, or the Desert Eagle which requires the wearing of a jacket & shoulder holster.
