Does anyone out there *actually* think that *we* as a species deserve to survive? Surely not? I think Mother Nature is giving us our come-uppance....After all the damage we have caused as a species, It's well deserved. It's sad that we're taking other species with us.....
I read somewhere on the net that apparently the Earth seems to have an inbuilt cleansing sytem that has come into effect on more than one occaision over the millions of years....Once the planet gets too much of an imbalance, Mother Nature has a bit of a "spring clean" and erradicates pretty much most living things by whatever means necessary so that a new slate can be started & the balance restored.

The pace of change is alarming. Two hundred years ago there were no 'phones at all let alone cellphones; no television; no electricity; and man could only travel as fast as his horse or sailing ship could carry him.

The frightening thing is that in this planets millions of years of existence & evolution, we have managed to cause irreversable damage and species extintion in less than 100 years......Outstanding work.
Somewhere out there, there's probably an extra-terrestrial race - Way more advanced than us, they've long erradicated war & disease, lived peaceful lives, have the cure for cancer & know the secret to eternal life......If they are watching us and are tempted to make contact, I think I would advise them to pass us by....

I'm a beekeeper, I do it kilted too. I lost a hive this winter, not to ccd. beekeepers lose on the order of 30% per year. seems like a high number it isn't really. beekeeping has been suffering alot lately , mites ,fungus, bacteria the list is too long really. the biggest threat to bees is man, our pesticides especially. it's way too easy to get and use... i'm no fan of government regulation or interference that is not the answer. loving your mother is, all of those little creatures are part of our mother earth. those little bastard ants that get into everything? you know the ones..they are doing their job. they keep the sticky stuff at bay. everything they are interested in, bees are interested in. when we poison anyone or anything we poison our mother, think about it. same goes for technology, we may not be able to see all the effects of our great advancements. we will though. i don't want to sound like an *** hypocrite, i have a cell phone, i use it everyday, i drive a truck, i have a house, i am alive, i polute, i consume. i am sorry.
If you love your mother, i love mine. find out about bees, ants and flies. if you need a very rewarding hobby, be a beekeeper. it is easy to get started, just find a local beekeeper and ask. you will be doing alot to help your mother and mankind. peace, corbin
