Welcome to the premier website for kiltwearers, kiltmakers, kilt admirers, kilt dreamers, and anybody else who has anything to do with kilts, or would like to have something to do with kilts. (Does that about cover it?)

So we got another challenge-challenged penny-pincher, do we? A student of life? and now kilts? Here's what to do. Send a PM (private message) to Alan H and find out where he's got his X-kilt instructions for downloading, then have at it. Be warned, though, he does refer to sewing machines. My very first kilt was made from some locally acquired and really cheap cotton upholstery fabric and sewn by hand (ie., needle, thread, and thimble.) Click on the thumbnails to see the larger pics.

It's still in my "active" closet and it still gets worn (and, yes, it's still in perfect working order!)

    (Ummm... Don't mind the skunk)

Purchased kilts are great, and you'll probably want one or two in your lifetime, but making your own is a challenge of the first order.
