Please do not feed the newbie
Hello ![Ciao](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/ciao.gif)
I'm makeitstop, but my friends call me Rikimaru, and my enemies call me mitsy.
I'm currently a full time student, a part time loan shark, an amateur magician, an aspiring author, an unlicensed lawyer, and a ninja in training.
At the moment, the closest thing I have to a kilt is some plaid fabric which made up a Braveheart costume last year (gotta love warpaint) but I have always been a fan, and intend to acquire one in the near future. I also hope to make a few as soon as I can, as I'm cheap and love a challenge.
There, I think that about covers it. Any questions?

Pleased to meet you, mitsy.
For the cheap & challenged, we recommend Stillwater kilts. You'll quickly realize that a plaid cloth improvisation just doesn't compare. There are also resources here for making your own, including several accomplished kilt-makers.

Welcome to Xmarks from rural Virginia, and I'll second Stillwater, as long as you are close to 6 ft tall, so the 24" length is right for you.

Hello from Idaho! There is plenty to learn here and lots of fine folks to teach you the ropes. Pull up a chair and sit a while.
