Another hand waving for the sporran. Yet the those pictures look great!

Yep...sporran and a kilt belt! You may want to also give some consideration to sporran hangers to go with your sporran.

About the sporran
Well, I agree about the sporran myself, problem was that the one I ordered off ebay with the honour of scotland tartan kilt for cheap didnt arrive in time. Thank god for SWK and delivering my McLeod tartan in 3 days. AMAZING service. I will post the pics from the wedding. The blue shirt was subsituted for a greenish one, and i wore a red tie. I am colorblind so you have to forgive me for some of my color faux pas. Also I had a wonderful belt 2 1/2 in wide custom made by Springfield Leather Co. All of those pics were just preliminary. Been in the kilt 3 days in a row now and I love it. Lots of positive response and who cares about the negative!

The belt is fine for a casual look. Tartan kilts really need a sporran though, if only from a practical point of view that traditional kilts have no pockets. I only go sporranless in my Union Kilts and Freedom Kilts.

The first one looks more dressy and the second outfit looks very comfortable and casual.
You look really good in that kilt.
You're doing the rest of us proud.
Well done!

I really appreciate all the support and warm welcome on this forum. Not that I wouldn't proudly wear my kilt without it, but it helps to have a ton of kilt wearing gents at my back

I say you're looking good there, MacLeod Hunting from SWK was my first as well. Unfortunately it doesn't end there, fortunately Jerry at SWK can get stuff to you quick enough to stave off the jones for a little while.

Hey, Bishop, funny that this thread should pop up today. I'm heading to a wedding this evening myself. I had originally planned to dress as seen in my avatar here, but given the heat we're still having here, I've opted for open collar and no jacket.
From what I can see of your own avatar (admittedly small for my old eyes), your outfit does look good. I think the red tie works well with your kilt. I look forward to seeing your pics. Now maybe I'll post some myself, if I can figure out the Photobucket or some other site.
