Update
Okay my kilted family, I just finished talking to Abby and she is doing fine, She is a little sore and she said she was thirsty. She wanted me to thank you all for everything.
From me to all of you a big thanks,I really have to look out for her because next to my wife she is my biggest supporter in my kilted ways and she thinks that men who wear kilts are really cool

Glad to hear how well she seems to be doing, but thoughts and prayers are still directed that way for all of you.

Glad to hear that Abby has come round after her op and you have spoken to her.
Wishing her a speedy recovery.
It is human nature to worry about your offspring, but try not to worry too much, at here age she has every prospect of a quick recovery to full health, and won't need to worry about her appendix again.

Sounds as if she is doing well afterward. I hope that her good recovery continues and am sure she will rebound quickly.

Now I know she is your little girl and naturally anything that so much as touches her is going to get the steely glare of the male parent -
but at Christmas I visited a tiny little old lady of 80 who survived a perforated appendix emergency operation last year, was taken to intensive care - on the limited side, where they don't really try as hard as they might if someone flatlines.
They might have decided that she might be ready to leave, but I don't think they told her, not until she was back at home and on the mend. Now you'd never know that she'd been ill.
Of course you'll be all of a jitter until she is back out in the world and given the all clear, but for a young and presumably previously healthy lassie the odds are heavily stacked in favour of her complete recovery.
Deep calming breaths now, cut down on the coffee, if necessary - and depend on every good wish coming to Abby and you and your family.

l had the same thing happen to me when I was 18 (so many moons ago) and I was out of the hospital 3 days later. Everything will be just fine. I wish her a speedy recovery.
