story...
Would I buy dirt? I have before for the missus' roses, but that's another story.
Not long after my Newsome kilt in the Iowa tartan arrived, my mother & I went to Iowa to see my family and to decorate graves for Memorial Day. I decided to take my kilt with me to show my great-aunt (99 years young & still flying to Miami!) and my cousins.
I wore my kilt when we drove out into the country to the site of the farm where my mother grew up. When we got there, I took a wee bit of the famous Iowa black dirt and rubbed into the kilt -- so now I carry a bit of the ancestral sod whenever I wear that tartan.
A bit sentimental, perhaps -- would I pay for that dirt? Nope, it's priceless to me. It represents the toil of my ancestors who worked the land.
So, go easy on the dirt, fellas.

Dirt....I wonder who'll actually take that. You can just imagine it right now...

I'm sure someone canned Scotch mist and sold it to (gullible) people a while back. Same as bottled water, a lot of it comes straight out of the tap. Coca-cola tried that with their Dasani stuff here a few years ago and had to take it off the market when people found out what was going on.

And there's been plenty Scotch mist the last few days. I've been running around bottling it.

Thats a great Idea.
Is there a market for Rocky Mt. soil in Scotland?
I'm sure someone in the Isles would like a piece of dirt from the land to which their ancestors migrated.
With X-marks help we could import and export soil all over the world shiped in tartan bags
I'm an 18th century guy born into the 20th century and have been dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century.

So, what's wrong with buying Irish soil? I purchase Scotish water all the time.

So what do you suppose the customs agents would say if I chucked all my stuff out of my backpack at the end of my next trip to Scotland and filled it full of good old Scots soil?

Warwick Davis was in Willow - is that what you are thinking of?
