    Personally, I would not.

    In my limited observation, the unique characteristic of Fraser tartans is the concentric squares with blue in the middle and green on the outer. I would expect to see at least one red or white stripe dividing up the sett in larger squares, if not both colors. The base color is apparently not that critical as demonstrated in Beuth's post.

    The Lovat tartans don't exactly support my theory though

    No, that is Ancient Blue Mackay.
    Similar to Morgan (which is more vibrant).

    lol, yes, your correct (i knew it was MacKay), but the set looks just like the red fraser in post 3, i think that was my point.

    i was thinking about having 4 thin strips in red in my tartan design.
