I wonder if zombies took over the world, what would happen? And if I were the only person alive??

Though the Romans wore bracae too - those from warmer climes must have found it distinctly chilly trotting around the North of England in their little frocks, particularly in winter but it can be pretty parky (cold) even in the height of summer once the sun goes down and a wind gets up.
Though still a novelty in the 3rd century in Rome by the 5th - despite interdicts - the Romans at home saw trousers on barbarians of many races, and there were even trousers appearing from Persia, plus the citisens were taking to barbarian fashions.
Costume is one of my interests - I have to watch period dramas several times before I can follow the plot rather than watching the clothes.

Firearms? Psh, if there's one thing I learned it's that blades don't have to be reloaded.

True but its hard to take a zombie out at 500 meters with a sword. The farther they are from me the better. That being said nothing like 3 feet of sharpened still when the Z's get closer.

But that's why the bow was invented! Get the target before they get you!

Any decent rifle can take a zombie down at a healthy range. Don't let them get close! Wife is a zombie-phile. Blades should be used ONLY when unavoidable!
Hmmm... Boar spears had cross-pieces above the blade to stop the animal from advancing up the shaft. Zombie spears/pikes?

I think the actual quote is "God created man and Col. Colt made them equal."

There is a wonderful quote from Kipling - something about a two shilling bullet putting an end to an expensive education - which of course I can't recall when I need it.
I think the best thing for use against zombies would be a garden fork or maybe a trident with a wide base - maybe some sort of extra fitting, an oval plate with appropriate holes and a clamp, to be slid over the tines so as to present a flat surface to the impaled zombie.
Once firmly fixed the zombie could then be moved with a pitchfork style action into a fire, or perhaps to the business end of a flame thrower, as I believe the received wisdom is that a zombie will burn quite well?

Not sure - could'nt you just get an angrier zombie?
For certain you can't get a deader one, though depending on the range it could be either heavier, or lighter, having accumulated shot or had bits detatched.....
