Just to add more wood to the fire! Look at these guys, they are from Salt Lake City and do a grand job, you can get pretty much any tartan they carry for sale to rent.

It's nice to know about some of the other vendors as well.
Congratulations on the nuptials!

The interesting thing is, I believe that's Matt Newsome's picture on the kilt rental page on the site.

Thanks for the recommendation! We aim to please. We now have 10 rental tartan choices and two formal jacket styles, as well as casual and children's outfits. Everything is available a la carte, too, if a gent just needs to rent some accessories, or just a jacket, or just ghillie brogues, etc.
That IS Matt's picture in my site. It's a favourite of mine and Matt was nice enough to let me use it. He always cuts a handsome figure in a kilt!
Cheers,
Cyndi

I've never ented a kilt, but on the Panama cruise that I took, there were two gents who rented from this place: http://www.scottishclansman.com/Kiltrentals.html and they had good things to say.
Second hand info, but they were pleased.

I can vouch for the quality and service from kiltrental.com.
When I got married - which was my intro to the kilt - I rented a really nice Douglas kilt from 'em.
They've got a decent selection of tartans, and are great to deal with...

We found kiltrental.com yesterday and thought it might be what we wanted. I figured I'd best ask around here though. Thanks.

I had great service from 'em - quick to ship, so I wasn't worried about getting it in time - IIRC they had it to me more than a week beforehand.
Just had to pop it back in the box and ship it back a few days after - no problem there.
The kilt was very nicely made, better than I'd expected it to be, really. They even included a few extras - sporran, belt, buckle, flashes - even though I told 'em I already had them. They said they'd put 'em in the box 'just in case.'
Weddings are a stressful enough time (don't get me started about the rings from Ireland, ordered MONTHS beforehand, which showed up 3 days before the wedding). Kiltrental.com made a least one thing totally painless.
