Twas my good lady persuaded me to wear a kilt for our wedding, shortly after which I purchased my tank. She finds my Workmans Utilikilt a bit odd but doesn't complain when I wear either. I refrain from commenting when she wears trousers, so that seems fair to me

My partner, soon to be my wife, is super supportive.

The girlfriend was apprehensive at first. She seen me 4 years before we started dating at prom. Now she wants her own lady-kilt.

I'm not married and without a girlfriend at the current moment.
In my adult life, only 2 of my girlfriends had no problem with it. In fact, they liked and supported it. The others had a problem with it. The words embarrassed, unsure, and confused describe their reactions.

This is so familiar. It was my wife's idea too. She is the one with the Scots blood. But she doesn't want me to wear one out of the house. Some of her friends like men in kilts - maybe that's why, LOL!

My wife has always been extremely supportive of me wearing a kilt. I can't imagine feeling compatible with her if she was the type of person who didn't want me to wear a kilt.

My wife used to make funny comments like, "you going to put on that skirt of yours". I informed her the reason for the name kilt. Someone had said the same to a Scot and he was KILT. My wife actually has more scottish blood than I and has since made kilts for all four of our sons. I still think she believes there is a time and a place. Oh well.

My wife has been fairly supportive from the beginning. In fact, she bought me my first 2 kilts! She's also loaned me money or covered some of my bills at times so I could buy additional kilt accessories. One aftenoon I came home to find that my wife and MIL had bought and assembled a cabinet in our bathroom. I look inside, and what do I find...? All my kilts and kilt accessories! How's that for support?!?!
When my wife and I started dating I had a pink mohawk, so nothing really bothers or surprises her at this point. Wearing a kilt is just one more "unusual" or "out of the ordinary" thing that I do... just one more "nonconformist" garment that I wear... It's never been an issue, and as long as I keep some pants in the rotation (which I WANT to do) it never will be an issue.

I am the wife and as long as my husband is comfortable, I'm happy. Guys in kilts are quite dashing, as long as they are worn correctly (not too long or too short) and I love it when my guy wears his. Either way, I'm fine with it.
