That looks great... but I should point out that her kimono appears to be in the Campbell of Cawdor tartan (aka Argyll district).
I thought I recognized that good looking sporran!

Ach! You're right on the tartan, Matt. The colors don't show so well on my home pc for some reason. I thought the double red line was a sewing thing in putting the kimono together, but I see that is not the case. Obviously, it's time for a new monitor at home.

Great pix! Love the kimono....
I always wondered why "Carpenter" (my name) is not a sept name for Clan MacIntyre ("son of the carpenter"), like "Wright" - another wood-worker surname.
Where in NY State does the chief live?

Hello, Brian. James MacIntyre of Glenoe, Chief of Clan MacIntyre, used to live in Fonda, but he's become sort of a recluse and lives not far from there from what I've been told. I should point out that his reclusive nature has more to do with shyness rather than snobbery. But, he is married and has a son to inherit his position. His brother, sister and mother have visited at the Capitol District Games in Altamont, NY, but I've met only his brother the one time I went. The Chief's name is listed as a member of the Standing Council. His mailing address regarding his position as Chief is in care of Marty MacIntyre in San Francisco.

Thanks Rick. I'll pass that on to my niece who took most of them.

Looks as though you all had a great time and I am delighted that the weather behaved itself.

Will, the weather was mostly dry, but I expected and enjoyed what rain there was as well. And I'll repeat, it was MOST thoughtful of you to call me at the Brander Lodge. It's nice to see that Highland hospitality is going strong.
