You know it's funny when I bought my jacket I was told it was an Argyll, I did question the salesman about it as the cuffs were a Braemer style. In the end the name matters not, the jacket itself will prove a great addition to your highland wardrobe.

No matter whose name you go by that is one fine looking jacket and waistcoat combination.

Nice... Very nice indeed! NOW perhaps you'll stop badgering the poor man in the Brown van. I'll bet he was happier than you when the package finally showed up...

I have the same set: isn't it nice? (thanks again, Matt & STM)

And just to keep it interesting: the tag inside the right-hand, inside breast pocket says "ARG JACKET". I'll bet they use the same tag for the black Argyll and the charcoal Braemar/Craill...

Whatever we call it, I agree with Glen that it's a very versatile garment. I'll bet we could add a wing collar and silver tie, and call it morning dress. In a pinch, it might do for black tie, but I'd rather have something black like the black Argyll & 3-button vest. Or the PC, since I already have this for almost all other occasions.

Thanks, Puffer, I did just that... decided to keep the kit on and wore it to a fund-raiser last night then off to the pub with the Mrs. Have to say, felt like a million bucks.

No worries, Matt. It's a great item and I'd recommend it to anyone.

You're right, you could pull off black tie in it if you had to. It's not my only jacket, but if I had to choose just one to keep, it would be this one.
