Crail Jacket and RR Sporran from Matt

I love the FedEx truck...the UPS truck... the USPS van...

I've been quietly stewing in my own "Jones Juices" for weeks. I have a number of jones-inducing things out there in the ether, wending their way through production, shipping, etc. and just haven't wanted to focus too specifically on each and every one. It's worked pretty well... helps that my job is really busy right now.

So when I got a notice of a FedEx shipment from the Scottish Tartan Museum a day or so ago, my simmering jones went on full boil.

Relief came today in the form of a Charcoal Grey Crail Jacket / Waistcoat and Rob Roy Sporran. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh. That's better...

Fit, finish and quality of both items is exactly what you'd expect from Matt Newsome's place. Excellent!

Good looking jacket congratulations, I have one similar that I got from Hector Russell in Toronto, there was no Jones factor that way. One thing though what you have is not a Crail but a Braemer. Here is the thread with my review of mine. I have found this colour to be the most versatile out of all my jackets.

I was wondering about that. The site and the tag in the jacket both said "Crail" but I thought a Crail had plain cuffs. But whatever it's called, I love it. You're absolutely right about the color...extremely versatile...it's going to get a ton of use.

Yeah, the name of that jacket is a bit confusing. Read the disclaimer about jacket names at the end of our article here:
    http://giftshop.scottishtartans.org/which_jacket.htm

Basically, most companies call a plain cuff jacket a "craill" jacket, but in the case of House of Edgar, who made that jacket, "Craill" in their in-house name for a charcoal grey jacket with Braemar cuffs. Don't ask me why.
