Sigh - only two and a half hours to the end of the 'Naughties' I'd better find something suitable to quaff.

Oh - I remember, I have half a bottle of Lambs Navy Rum somewhere in the kitchen, and a couple of bottles of diet cola out in the conservatory - and some brie and granary rolls to sustain me through the waiting.

Now where is my pewter tassie?

(Wanders off in search of drinking vessel)

Returns later - found it, and a little feast to while away the time.

There is it, the New Year, fireworks and all. I'll just upload the photo - as we all know - no picture, it didn't happen.

So I lift my tassie to you all, and toast the New Year, health, wealth and happiness be thine

Here at the end of the decade that wasn't supposed to happen, (remember Y2K?), may the New Year bring health to those who long for it, peace to those who strive for it, and jobs to those who are without.
