The official Greenville BBQ bash picture thread.

A nice one stop spot for all the pictures. I didn't take as many pictures as I thought, and a few of them I can't show because they must remain top secret. Somebody else will have to show them.

I didn't take many pictures prolly because I was to busy drinking Woodchuck and this most wonderful beer Turpin brought called Old Chub. Which I am going to have to find more of for my self. It is the ONLY canned beer I have drank which I actually liked... Didn't taste canned. Oh geesh, it was the sweet sweet nectre of life. While some of the others didn't care for it, I liked it. It was a dark dark red and quite tastey...

The kilted cake was cool, no doubt. I had some threats of bodily harm for not bringing an 8000 calorie pie. The nerve of some people. You try to save their arteries and the thanks you get.

I know that somebody has pictures of me doing my best pineapple impressions... Don't ask.

There were lots of wee ones and not so wee ones there... Which made it great. It was nice having a hoard of kids running around.

    Well,

    Kinda

Officially, Clan MacBubba uses Culloden Tartan (at least until Tom and crew design one specifically for MacBubba).

Those first 2 shots are of me and my son.
(Proof, I was told, that a man in a kilt is a man and a half )

That kilt is the 14 oz stuff from the run last year (the stuff I bought of A Hay). The back is boxed pleated to the white stripe and doubled sett, so the full blue box is present on each facing.
With the delay on the new run, I went ahead and used it for a kilt, rather than sell it or use it as vest/etc.
I am SO jonesing for the 16 oz stuff.
It was this kilt's public debut, I did the final pressing and strap attach the night before.

If no one took pics of the back, I'll get my wife to take a pic (along with the other promised pics I have yet to take-> she keeps the camera at her school and her person most of the time).

An enjoyable time was had by all. Wilson didn't want to leave.
Just watch out for the dog . . .

Yes, the food was great and plentiful. Dread makes an awesome-tasting banana cream pie topped with tasted coconut. Jadewink was as sweet as Dread has described her. Kat is a great hostess. It was a very relaxed atmosphere, just sitting around the table talking kilts, fabric, accessories...kind of like being on an X-Marks video-conference. It was good to meed Brett Nix and his little ones, too. He and I collaborated on replacing an inner tube in Jimmy's bike. And to see John again.

    Anyway, here's the Dreadful Pineapple
