Thanks Rob. Knowing you are a Douglas and that we had discussed this tartan a long time ago, if you would like I can send you a piece of the tartan remnant to absorb some of that drool.

Splendid, Jeff, just splendid. It's a beautiful kilt and the Cheviot hose set it off perfectly. Congratulations!

    Regards,

    Thanks for the compliments

Thanks to all for the very nice compliments. It is one I am proud of, and which will sit prominently towards the front of my kilt closet.

Rob should be getting his swatch in the next day or so---I hope he is not drowning in drool by then. Sorry Rob but the only remnant they sent me was a less than 2 inch wide 6 yard long piece from the unused selvedge, that unfortunately is almost all the broad red band without any of the clean grey band, except at the fringe of where it crosses the red. But at least that will give you an idea of what the color scheme is. Actually looks better to me than in the computer generated swatch---Dalgleish can do that sometimes.

    Thanks again to all.

Whatever the cost in time and money, the final outcome is magnificent. That's a very nice kilt and very nice tartan.

Thanks for sharing those photos and the story. All were entertaining.

Well, Jeff, it was clearly worth the wait – although you must have been pretty wound up before the parcel finally showed up!
    A magnificent piece of tartan.
