Finally have the book, "How the Scots Invented the Modern World."

I finally have Arthur Herman's book, How the Scots Invented the Modern World. I'm part way through it. Very interesting.

I have it on my shelf. One of about 20 books-to-read. What's been the most interesting so far?

Great book. Like most history books, it's a little boring in parts, but labor through those because the book as a whole is well worth it.

One of the best historical overviews I have read. He ties in a lot of history which makes sense of many events in American history.

Well... I'm about half way through, and nothing boring yet. It's a good overview too. I'm bookmarking a lot of things, so I'll have to comb through the bibliography when I'm done reading the book. I think I already have some of the works...

I enjoyed it very much, but my wife got tired of all the historical name dropping.

What I enjoyed about the book was the emphasis the Scots put on education. I think I need to re-read this book in the near future.
