They are hand made, thus you tell them size, width, etc.

Thanks CDNdushi, but I was/am just curious what other kilt wearers thought, interested in their opinion but not seeking affirmation. If that were the case, I'd have asked the question prior to having them custom made.

    Would I wear them? Absolutely!

    Well done - great choice.

I take back what I said. Like Riverkilt, I thought that the white in the original pic was white leather accents on the boot. Now seeing them in close-up, I don't mind them so much

I was shopping for boots a while back and saw those. This is the first time seeing them other than on their site. They look better in context than as a simple product pic. Honestly though, I think I will pass. If I were more into contemporary looks and things to go kilted to renfairs, I would dive on a pair. However, I usually armor up for the fair and those would look off with my schinbalds. But they are nice.

    Thanks for all the feedback.

    i, personally, love them -

I ordered then as something new/different to wear with kilts, both traditional and utility, and I'm sure that I will do just that.

i too, had gotten them with the intent to wear them next weekend, to the theater, I also bought a new jacket and waist coat, however despite it being mid-November, it is still in the 80's F , every day.

OK so I needed an excuse to go shopping, I bought an 8 yard Gray Hamilton kilt as well.

But considering the weather, and our tickets are for the 2:00 pm showing, which will require a mid-day trek thru New Orleans, I'm thinking now it's the grey kilt, ghillie brogues and either a white button down or a black banded collar skirt (to get me out of having to wear a tie)

I think they look good on you, because of your age group, but the wouldn't look good on me, because of the same reason. I'm sure that I'm substantialy older than you, and if I wore them I'd be accused of "trying" to look your age instead of mine.

Very cool... I'd rock 'em for sure. Enjoy!

I dig the big boot look, have a couple pair and ready for a 3rd.
Christmas present to myself, Verillas, should be here soon.
