That's a bit much for my taste, but I suppose I'm more conservative in my kilted footwear - black or brown wingtips or ankle boots depending on the circumstances.

Thanks, never seen anything quite like that. First pic thought the white was decoration on a regular boot. Lets you change colors with the kilt hose....a wee bit of width available...I'd need to fire up my shoe stretcher to get into a mere EE though....man - a tempting boot for sure....thanks for the post.

Something that I really realized recently, even more than ever, as I continue to look for work and read information written by HR experts, career coaches, and interview consultants, is that the world we live in now isn't what it used to be. One lady in particular (who has been in HR for many years and hires people on a regular basis) points out that she often gets asked about whether "this" or "that" would be appropriate to wear to an interview, and some dos and don'ts. Well, the way she puts it is quite simple. Nowadays, it's not about what's appropriate or not anymore. You are your own brand. What you wear is how you represent that brand. And the question is, whether MY brand meshes well with YOUR brand.

So all that said, in a very round about way, I'm trying to say: you are who you are. You've chosen to express yourself in a particular way, (which is rather unique) and that's 100% awesome. And to me, whether someone else thinks that it's too much or not is completely irrelevant, because you're the one who has to be happy about your look, at the end of the day.

But for what it's worth, I do like the look. Those boots are really quite something! :-) Well done!
