    I too think that the Glengarry would look sharp.

    Darn .... The last I heard of the USS America, a childhood friend of mine was serving aboard, and it was an aircraft carrier cruising offshore of Vietnam! Guess that it is true - I am getting old.

    I agree with everyone here: you look geat in the kilt and accessories you are wearing now. Therefore, anything you choose for the ceremony, I am sure, will be appropriate and great looking on you.

    I think that that the kilt and jacket would be great. As to the hat bit; I find that here in north west Ohio, that I get asked if I belong to a pipe band and/or "will be performing" more when I wear my Balmoral. I don't think that it looks like a costume, but many make connections where there aren't any. It doesn't stop me from wearing it as a hat tends to finish an outfit when outdoors.
