LMAO, no she was a twiggy girl with [obvious] hair extensions the color of bubble gum--and she had a two year old son. Consider the source, eh?

The girl clearly didn't see the McDonald Brothers on X Factor
You will always get the odd one who think they know what everybody else thinks, a little like Trollope's Mrs Proudie:
"The Bishop thinks, and I agree with him..."

And I always try to make that impression a positive one.!
While wearing my Xmarks kilt at the supermarket this afternoon, I encountered a lady originally from Glasgow. In her delightful brogue she expressed delight at seeing a man in a kilt for a change. The cashier, as witness to the processings, also expressed similar sentiments while nearly a dozen others in the lineup looked on.
Oh yes.... me knees are naturally nude - but my face has hair!

I'll try to return this thread to it's original intention.. OK,,,
This teen girl from Glasgow is no different than many teen girls here in America. It sounds as though she doesn't really know what she likes, she allows the trends of pop culture to dictate her every waking desire and beliefs.
Now, the very first time I wore a kilt my Grandfather was present. He had Scottish parents from Glasgow and he was born here in the USA about seven years after they migrated from Glasgow in 1906. The words out of his mouth were: "Danny, my mother would proud of you!" She, Great Grandmother Nellie McCluskey Williamson was from Glasgow.

I wear kilts because I want to, not because 1 of my toe nails is half Scottish.

Back to the topic at hand...
This girl made a teenage comment. I think we have all done that in the past. I do not allow others to define who I am or what I wear. Of all the positive comments I have gotten while wearing a kilt, at least half have been from young women (18-25).
There is a term for those who are bound by current fashion: metrosexual (met.roh.SEK.shoo.ul) n. An urban male with a strong aesthetic sense who spends a great deal of time and money on his appearance and lifestyle.
Thankfully, this does not define me

I think I am the Anti-Metrosexual. Anybody that's seen my picture knows.
This thread is going badly. I think we need to step back, grab a glass of bitters, and mellow out a bit.
