    Just for that remark----

Let's see, you all sent me almost $6,000.00.

There is a kilt night on Friday.

    OOPS!

Come on Steve, you can do better than that! For 6K you could get a real nice visit with Robertson and Emma for you and your bride.... We would not hold it against you long.....

As I said before, and I think I can safely speak for all, We truly appreciate the burden you originally took on, we completely commiserate with the difficulty this moderate setback has added, and we are grateful for all your efforts on our behalf.

Since we can't tell what kind of trauma occurred to
the fabric, I'm hesitant to accept any of it. It could
have stresses that aren't immediately visible, but will
cause the fabric to degrade prematurely or unevenly.
I will wait for a re-weave and get the first rate
material (in the proper colors) that I paid for.

By the way, Steve, I only found out about this
after searching for any information on the weaving
status. I never received a private message or
email. Maybe you need to update your mailing
list. This may also be why you didn't receive
    many replies.

    Hello all,

Well, it's here. I have the two rolls of the fabric in my shop and have done a quick look over of it.

The Selvedge damage is not as bad as I first thought is was going to be. I haven"t yet found a place where it is deeper than the folded area of the selvedge proper.

This fabric will however need to be shipped in single width only. The side with the damage seems to be perfectly good for a kilt with a folded hem. I did a quick test to see how a hem would look and I think it will be fine. I also cannot see any areas where stress has caused distortion to the Sett. With a Tartan is is pretty easy to see if the fabric has been stressed. You just lay a straight edge on the lines of the pattern and if they are curved the fabric has been stressed since it came off the loom. I do not see that here.

Thank you all for the responses by PM, e-mail and phone. I will be contacting each of you individually to insure everyone gets a fair deal on what you paid for.

As I get responses from each of you I will begin to cut and ship out.

It would be helpful if we knew whom you have heard from already. I sent an email, I just want to be sure you received it.

Like Splash_4, I think I've sent you an e-mail, but I don't know if you received it.

    Best regards

if the damage isn't as bad as thought, and can indeed be hemmed, I'll take the double width damage or no.

A while back, I got an email saying the first bolt was rejected and there would be a new bolt made as soon as possible (I remember a date of May).

Well, May is here and I was curious if there is any update!!!!

    (The jonesing continues . . .)
