I guess I need to post this here:
I would actually PREFER the navy
(esp as I already have some -4 yard single width- 14 oz from the last run).
I plan on a 4 yard kilt of 16 and maybe a second or vest, ot some other stuff with the other half of the double.
Anyone else?

The Navy or "Modern" is an alternate only. It would be completely different than the previous runs of the X Marks Tartan.
No decision has been made to weave an alternate version. That decision would be up to the members who have outstanding orders in.
AND PLEASE REMEMBER, IT IS ONLY ABOUT AN INCH OR TWO OF THE SELVEDGE THAT IS EFFECTED. THE FABRIC COULD STILL BE HEMMED IF YOU WISH.

Well, just dang. Steve, I sent you an email with my preference. For the rest of you, I have no need of the fabric until the middle of June, so a reweave in May is not a bad thing for me.
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Steve,
If I remember right the fabric is 60 inches correct? Even at 30 inches there will be some wiggle room to match the sett. Is it going to be that big of a deal in end? I don't think there are many around that have to have a 27-30 inch width kilt.

Steve, no good deed (yours, in this case) goes unpunished. I was planning to sit on the tartan for a while, maybe wear my 4 yards as a great kilt until I decide what kind of kilt to have made with it. So if it turns out that others' plans are nearer in time, I will put myself down on the list for the re-weave. Don't you think the Navy would end up too dark?
