Services?!? Um... I'm still learning and public performances scare me. I'm not quite "at that level" yet. I might be persuaded to make a fool of myself though if truely necessary

well, Lambda, it's a bagpipe...not like the majority would know if it is good or bad or even in tune....
Stop me if you've heard this one...why is a piper always seen marching? ....
He is trying to get away from the noise!

Hey Red,
you in contact with SCD to inform them of the lovely event?
The more the merrier.
Animal_K you going to join us for Kilt night or join the Crew this weekend for Scarborough?

I was planning to hit up Pirate weekend at some point. Should be good fun.
Oh, and as for pipes sounding good or not, generally people who don't like the bagpipes feel that way because they've heard someone playing out of tune at one point or another. Out of tune = bleh. Luckily, I can tell the difference!
More importantly, the reason I can't play the pipes at the Tipp is because I have yet to purchase them
I'm still working on my chanter, however I am in the market for a set and have been looking around at my options (I do have a set of small pipes though). Probably won't have made a decision by next month, but you never know. Crazy things happen all the time.

most of those that would show up, already are in the know.
Can't seem to interest the rest; the beer and whiskey is not even bringing them out of hiding.

Posted this kilt night on the Scarborough Faire Queens Own Highlanders Guard Regiment forum. the QOH are the highland guard that march in the parade at Scarborough Faire. I'm proud to say that Lambda, Kilted_Animal, and Myself all marched this past weekend and I intend to march when I'm there.
I'm also recruiting some of them to join Xmarks. Almost all of them live in and around DFW.
The DFWKS Chapter of XMTS will soon take over Texas.
