Great pictures, Derek and Trefor.
I am in eager anticipation of seeing some more.

And here are the rest I took wiht my camera that are half decent - there are some in Hamish's camera that I took too but he will have to upload those!
Besides Benjamin's harping talents the highlight of the evening was the pipe band which is based in Cardiff and sporting their own tartan.

That's all mine folks!

It was Carlsberg Pilsner, Ayin. I can drink lager but I'm not too keen on ale!
Take care,
Ham.

Next day (Saturday) was THE day. The Church Hall concert began at 2.30pm and finished at Midnight. Running parallel from 7.30pm to 9.00pm was a concert in St. Augustine's church itself which I was priviledged (if not forced) to compere.
Here I am in full flow (photograph by Trefor, using my camera):

Later, back in the church hall, Pete, John, Elaine and Derek (John is on drums behind Derek) gave a fine performance:

This was the first Folk Festival to be organised by the Rumney (a suburb of Cardiff) Folk Club which has been going from strength to strength in the past few years under the superb leadership of Derek and Elaine. Judging by the great success this time, it will be the first of many similar events in coming years ........ I believe I have already been booked for the next Festival on 5th September 2009!
