***. I think they look fine on most people but when I put on a shirt with a leather lace front I just don't like it.

I don't like cheap kilt pins.
A friend of mine will soon start a new thread about this matter . ![Cool](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_cool.gif)

Scalloped pocket flaps and cuff ornamentation; epaulettes and square, overly shiny buttons. I really would prefer a more modern looking kilt jacket.

Rex.

Here are 3 I do not like
1. Kilt hose "scrunched down"
2. The "Diamond" buttons on "Scots Jackets"
3. Fly Plaids.

I can not wear cream colored hose, unless it is a formal occasion. I, for some reason, look terrible in them. I love the black ones, however (sorry )

Oh, without a doubt, it has to be anything "overstated" as part of highland attire. Bling kilt pins, sporrans that look like the entire road kill is stuck to the front of your kilt, chrome plated anything (buttons, cantles, sgians dubh), cheap dirks with plastic hilts and coloured glass carbuncles masquerading as cairngoms, and-- of course-- WHITE and CREME SOCKS

Would it make a difference to you if it were faux fur? Or is it just the idea/concept/look of it that you don't like?
