You can donate the white hoses if you wish. As far as I know, they're not like a black belt in karate. Pipe bands use them because they are cheaper and are easier to match. You can be the greatest player in the world and never withe hose....
To my eyes, it seems that your hoses are a little low on your leg.
And to make things clear, I am jealous....

If the off white hose are wool, then try using coffee as a dye and turn them into usefull pairs of hose eg

Pair on the left are off white as purchased, centre is using regular coffee and right side is using a dark roast

I received 3 pair of white hose, one does not look to be wool. The others maybe, one is McRitchie of Edinburgh and marked 80% wool 20% nylon, the last one I do not know how much is wool. I had thought about trying to dye them, I suppose I am not out much.

I would probably give the coffee a try. If you look carefully at pictures of both Hamish and Matt Newsome you will see that both can get a lot of mileage out of "natural brown" hose.
At 80% wool it is worth a try I think.

If you are going to use coffee or any other dye for that matter use a cool temperature and not hot with wool unless you want your hose to shrink and felt ! Rinse well until water is clear.

We do not drink coffee at our house, what about using a dark tea for a dye?

You could simply spend $2 at a starbucks and get a venti "bold" coffee and let them sit in that for 3-4 hours.

No, starbucks within 40 miles, but it sounded good.

Yes tea will also work, a nice dark indian or ceylon one will be the best.
I put warm water in a bucket, mix in the tea/coffee, wet the hose first in warm water, put them in, stir about every 5 minutes for the first hour, then a couple of times an hour for the next 2 or 3 then leave them overnight. Take out the next morning, let them flat dry without rinsing, then handwash in cold water. The photos of the ones I posted were done about 12 months ago
