I'd concur with buying in Canada. The advertisers on XMTS (like John) are well regarded, and hopefully will spare you all the pitfalls of importing from the UK.

I would not agonize too much over matching the tartan sash. As long as it's the same tartan sett, the shades of colors don't matter. Chances are that the sash is a lighter fabric, with a smaller pattern due to lighter weight yarns, but it will look just fine together.
