    Lots and lots of kilts

I shot this video of the mass march of pipes and drums down the ski slope at the Hunter Mountain Celtic Festival on Sunday. I had to chop it up a bit to get under YouTube's 10-minute restriction.

Not the biggest march they've ever had, but still wonderful.

I saw Barb T's Mohawk Valley Frasers there, but didn't see anyone that looked like Barb. I'd have said hello if I had spotted her.

    Cool!
Pipers marching down a ski slope has to be a new activity - at least it would be a bit easier than marching up the ski slope while still keeping the bag adequately inflated.
I like the way the unpromising crowd noise in the opening few seconds was very quickly drowned out by the music of the advancing pipers.

Excellent! Very stirring! Growing up in Sth Australia, every parade, secular or sacred always had at least two complete Pipe Bands. The crowds used to go wild when they heard them approaching. Pipes with drums still give me goose bumps and a lump in my throat.
Thanks for sharing, it was magical. :blue_ban:

Wow, that's a lot of pipers and drummers! I wish I could have been there for that. Coming down the slope was fantastic. Thanks for sharing this.

Wish I could have been there. The Mohawk Valley Frasers will be in Cortland, NY today for the Cortland Celtic festival.
