The locks will fit on the XMarks kilt pin too but of course you will need to use two of them.

Here is another one I just made...

From a coin that bears the emblem (and Firefighters prayer-reverse side) of the Fire Dept. and from a converted obligatory clan crest sword pin...I combined the two to make this kilt pin for my Colquhoun Tartan Kilt.

Since I was with the King of Battle in the Marine Corps, I thought what could be more appropriate than the Artillery branch insignia.

Officially, I know it's a Hogwarts Ravenclaw house pin inspired by the Harry Potter books, but to most everyone else, it's just a crow.

I only use my dirk kilt pin now...

I used to use my Gunn "Art Pewter" kilt pin... similar to what so many have..

I've just made this for myself as I'm going to a wedding next weekend,

just over 3" long in Sterling silver
Sgian Dubh style with Lion Rampant on shield with ALBA GU BRATH engraved on the ferrule.

My current favorite kilt pin isn't really a kilt pin but it works for me.
It's one of those heather gems and I think it goes well with my green Amerikilt.
