So many kilts, so little time...

An amazing kollection there, Ron! Obviously, I like that Arizona kilt, very cool!

If you've got any 36-inch waist kilts needing a loving home, you just let me know... they'd even be in-state so you could pay 'em a visit from time-to-time!

    Ron,

That is a wonderful collection of kilts. It looks like you have a kilt for every occasion. Kilts have certainly made my life more enjoyable, and I'm sure it is the same for you.

So...counted them up. Don't know that anyone's interested other than me - though it could serve as sort of an index to what there are pics of in my kilt pic galleries....or a warning as to how addictive kilts are.

Ain't gonna even consider the kilt pins, kilt hose, flashes, kilt jackets, sporrans, et.al. Will say, I do follow Ham's advice and have a kilt pin for every kilt.

Okay, got my first kilt, a Utilikilt's Original in Woodland Camo on August 3, 2004. Here's what I own almost 33 months later.

USA Kilts Casual: MacLean Hunting, Fraser, Buccleuch, Gordon Modern, Gordon Red, Scottish National, Prince of Wales, Ramsay, Douglas Modern, Cladish, and Warrior.

USA Kilts Semi-Traditional: Macdonald, Thomson Gray, Ireland's National, Saffron, MacLeod of Lewis, and U.S. Army.

    Utilikilts Leather: Brown

Utilikilts Original: Blue Denim, Woodland Camo, Tan, Medical White.

Utilikilts Workman's: Caramel, Natural White Vegan, Chocolate, Black.

Utilikilts Survival II: Basil, Black, Tan.

    Utilikilts Mocker: Olive, Tan, Navy.

Kathy's Kilts Hand Sewn Wool: Macdonald of Kingsburgh, Macdonald Lord of the Isles, Cameron Black and Red, Scott Modern Red, Royal Air Force, Isle of Skye, Leatherneck, and X Marks the Scott.

Amerikilt: Forest Green, Putty, Black, Tiger Stripe Camo.

Pittsburgh Kilts: Desert MARPAT, Forest MARPAT, Arizona State Flag TriColor.

Freedom Kilts Cargo: CADPAT, Desert Camo.

    Freedom Kilts Dress Model: Maroon

Sport Kilt Sewn Down Pleats: Black Stewart.

Sport Kilt Gathered: Macdonald, Scott Skye.

    RKilts Leather: Saffron.

    Celtic Croft Wool: Weathered Gordon.

Maybe I need to go sit in a Levi's store or a Docker's store to "detox."

    Hi Ron,

WOW! That is a lot of kilts in a short amount of time! I wonder if there is an entry in the Guinness Book of Records for this....if not...perhaps you could look at creating one!

    "Hello everyone...My name is ROn....

    "Hi ROn..."

    "And I am a Kiltaholic...."

    1. We admitted we were powerless over kilts—that our closet had become unmanageable, and pants unwearable.

    2. Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity, well... maybe not.

    3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of Hamish as we pine for his collection.

    4. Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of our Kilts on our neverending wishlist.

    5. Admitted to our loved ones, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our comfort, and what we choose to wear under our kilts.

    6. Were entirely ready to remove all the Pants from our closet to the attic.

    7. Humbly we hope to increase our kilt savings funds.

    8. Made a list of all persons we had flashed, and became willing to make amends to them all.

    9. Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except for the kilt checks!. (Grant, skip this step and move directly to #10)

    10. Continued to take personal inventory and when we were unkilted promptly admitted it.

    11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with our kiltmakers as we understood them, hoping that darn postman would walk a little faster!

    12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to Kilties, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

It'd be interesting to see what Ron's count is now. After all, I'm sure he's bought more since he started this thread a couple of years ago

Whatever, welcome cousin, nice to see someone else spelling Macdonald the way my family does.

Kilt count topped out at 63. Think its down to 31 now. Sold off those I outgrew to buy some that fit my new size.

    Other's have more.

Ha ha! That is some number of kilts! A good shade more than some kilt shops will have in stock!

Glad to see another Macdonald! However, it's my unfortunate findings that the spelling has nothing to do with anything - simply down to whoever wrote your name. I have people in my family who are McDonalds, MacDonalds etc etc.
