55 Kilts in 33 Months
Realized that all of a sudden I have no kilts on order anywhere and that I didn't know how many kilts I owned.
So...counted them up. Don't know that anyone's interested other than me - though it could serve as sort of an index to what there are pics of in my kilt pic galleries....or a warning as to how addictive kilts are.
Ain't gonna even consider the kilt pins, kilt hose, flashes, kilt jackets, sporrans, et.al. Will say, I do follow Ham's advice and have a kilt pin for every kilt.
Okay, got my first kilt, a Utilikilt's Original in Woodland Camo on August 3, 2004. Here's what I own almost 33 months later.
USA Kilts Casual: MacLean Hunting, Fraser, Buccleuch, Gordon Modern, Gordon Red, Scottish National, Prince of Wales, Ramsay, Douglas Modern, Cladish, and Warrior.
USA Kilts Semi-Traditional: Macdonald, Thomson Gray, Ireland's National, Saffron, MacLeod of Lewis, and U.S. Army.
Utilikilts Leather: Brown
Utilikilts Original: Blue Denim, Woodland Camo, Tan, Medical White.
Utilikilts Workman's: Caramel, Natural White Vegan, Chocolate, Black.
Utilikilts Survival II: Basil, Black, Tan.
Utilikilts Mocker: Olive, Tan, Navy.
Kathy's Kilts Hand Sewn Wool: Macdonald of Kingsburgh, Macdonald Lord of the Isles, Cameron Black and Red, Scott Modern Red, Royal Air Force, Isle of Skye, Leatherneck, and X Marks the Scott.
Amerikilt: Forest Green, Putty, Black, Tiger Stripe Camo.
Pittsburgh Kilts: Desert MARPAT, Forest MARPAT, Arizona State Flag TriColor.
Freedom Kilts Cargo: CADPAT, Desert Camo.
Freedom Kilts Dress Model: Maroon
Sport Kilt Sewn Down Pleats: Black Stewart.
Sport Kilt Gathered: Macdonald, Scott Skye.
RKilts Leather: Saffron.
Celtic Croft Wool: Weathered Gordon.
Maybe I need to go sit in a Levi's store or a Docker's store to "detox."

I say just lay all your kilts on the floor and 'go swimming' in them like the cartoons always swim through money.
It'll make you a better man than a Levi's store.
Seriously, Ron. You're doing great and you deserve all of your kilts.

The real question is which one of those 55 is your favorite? Also which one is the most unique and/or unusual?

Excellent, Ron. As you said, kilts are addictive. I have 15, and common sense is telling me not to buy any more as I can only wear one at a time, but there are some nice kilts still out there that I'd really really like.

Yes, you can wear only one at a time, but you need to factor in the time necessary for the fabric to rest and recover from wearing. This breathing period allows the kilt to develop and gather strength for the next wearing.
Do you think my wife will believe this as a reason to buy more kilts?

Ron... For shame. You NEED a hemp kilt from RKilts.
And you call that collection well rounded.
Amazing collection my friend. Seriously.
In 33 more months, I expect it to double.
