This could be an interesting ceremony ... or reception ... bachelor party?
Wait, wait - no llamas at the bachelor party!

Congrats to you and yours!
If it's to be a real Scottish wedding, your intended needs to get started knitting her wedding shawl. Does anyone still do that any more, or is that pretty much a dead custom?
I'd heard about it, and wanted to do it, but never found the time. I also heard about a Victorian custom where the bride makes a fancy cabled white sweater for the groom to wear, with their interwoven initials hidden in the cables in unlikely spots (under the arms, etc).
Sorry to hijack this thread and turn it into a knitting thread. I seem to do that a lot.

Let's see, you proposed on Valentine's Day, which also happens to be her birthday. That's a smart man, grouping the occasions so there is only one day to remember.![Laughing](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)
Now, if you can just manage to get married on Valentine's Day, your anniversary will also fall on the same day.
