Me likes the new, woven tartan. And, yes, that was fast! How long did it actually take, Colin???

It took just over two weeks from the day Mark sent the colour match info to the weaver, to the day he received the woven fabric. Darn fast!

Mark at the Frugal Corner had the New World Irish tartan woven in their heavier weight acrylic range. This will be my first acrylic kilt and I'm interested to see what it feels like. I know lots of people swear by their Stillwater acrylic kilts and I've read that the Frugal Corner's are comparable...

Without further ado, here's the pic:
Now that is quite beautiful! Congratulations!

Now that’s a record! And it looks great, too.
Now for the kilt pictures (when you take delivery).

Will this tartan be available to the general public for purchase? Does Frugal Corner expect to have this available or will it be a special request?

Yes sir Dennis, it is already available to the public right now Hopefully mine is the first kilt they make though

Just so I don't run afoul of any rules, let me re-iterate that I'm not affiliated with the Frugal Corner in any monetary or business capacity. I'm just really proud of my contest winning tartan design!

Caveat given, here is the link to the page where one can purchase kilts in the New World Irish tartan:

The first kilts in the New World Irish tartan have been made and mine is officially on the way! This one will be a stock size, so that I can be the first person to get theirs shipped but Mark will hopefully be getting me another one made to my waist and length later.
