Sweet! I can't wait to see what to do! Also, I am hoping my kilt comes tomorrow or the next day! I will try and post pics asap of the whole process, hopefully for years to come people can redirect to this thread in order to find out about the SWK thrifty and how they wear.

I recomend sewing down the pleats 1/3. I think it has a slightly skirt like look when the pleats are open to the waistband. And remember, the Thrifty kilt is very light weight and the sewn down pleats helps against wind and abrupt movement. I talk from experience...

I vote for sewing. The glue tape won't hold a bachelor party.

It does because I put a line of horizontal stitching underneath the top third of the pleats that I stuck down to stop them coming unstuck, maybe sewing each pleat down individually (vertically) would be better if your sewing's up to scratch, which mine isn't really but I'm fairly happy with my own results.

Well if it's on the inside a regular walmart sewing machine will work, right?

And do I just sew the pleats the length, or only half or ????? vertically? Also! Do I do it right on the bend of the pleat, or!? Ugh. Haha.

Looking at a pre-sewed kilt I have it looks as though it is sewed right on the fold of each pleat, whichever way you play it you only want the top 8 inches or so to be down.
I haven't forgotten the pics, camera battery charging now.

Haha thanks! FYI!!!! I will make more note of it later in a thread after I get my kilt, but my cousin down south just got his thrifty and he LOVES it, and from the little pic he sent on my phone it looks great.

And this is his first kilt. I am glad I took the rabble's advice and just had them order thrifty kilts instead of attempting to make some from cheap fabric!

I've taken it at such an angle as you can see the edges of the Wonder Web, there is also a line of stitching about 8 inches down if you look closely.
