    Thrifty Kilt

    Greetings rabble!,

I am contemplating buyin a thrifty kilt from SWK, but I am wondering if it will look ridiculous. I am 6'4 and long waisted, will it suffice? I just can't afford a more expensive one at this time.

    Thanks,

    Zach

    Lightbulb

All SWKs are 24 inces long. If that will reach from the top of your knee to at least your belly button, you'll be OK.

Hard to say, basically compaired to your regular kilt the SWK is gonna sit an inch and a half or so lower around your waist.

I say put that money in a jar and start saving. You will have to wait but you would be 30 bucks closer to the goal of purchasing a nice kilt. I bought my first kilt in the Army and I was only an E-4. Rest assured I was not rolling in any dough so to speak. But I knew I wanted a kilt so I just started saving a few bucks every week. Before I knew I had about 50% of the total cost. Then I made the purchase knowing I would have at least another 2 months to save the rest to actually receive the kilt. That is the nice thing about having one made. You get plenty of time to save the rest of the cash needed to make the purchase. Just my two cents worth anyway. Why spend 30 dollars on something you really truly don't want but are looking at it simply as willing to settle for. I say wait and start saving dude.

I have one and they are alright. I don't wear it out anymore because I do have some slightly better kilts (but still not very expensive ones), but no-one ever commented on it in a negative way.

I am also long in the body, and don't find it to be too short, but then my total height is a lot less. Measure where 24 inches will come on you, from your belly button downwards, and that should give you a rough idea.

Well, here are my reasons for getting one.

    1. I need one before the end of June for my bachelor party.

    2. I have another nice kilt, and will be getting a true tank for my wedding as a present from my soon-to-be wife. So I should be solid.

    3. If my doctor ok's me to compete in the games, I will need something I don't mind getting a little trashed.

    4. Jerry at SWK seemed really nice, and I would enjoy doing buisness with him!

Those are some new variables that may sway your opinions!

    Thanks guys!
