May Canadians answer? My wife doesn't have a family tartan. She wears my family tartan (McIntosh), the New York City tartan (where she was born) and the Canadian Maple Leaf tartan.

My lovely wife is a proud Maxwell while I am only a "naturalized Scotsman" [I have no known Scottish blood but I am an Naturalized citizen of the rabble ] so that is what she wears and supports me wearing Colorado, Navy, Gordon, ...

The Missus is a Keith, and wears it proudly. She'll also wear my Clark(e), Colquhoun, Crawford, Dalziel, Gray, and Stewart of Appin. Thinking of having a kilt done in ancient Keith soon.

My husband is a Reid and wears the Red Robertson. My mother, bless her, wore Duncan. Until I can find a Reid tartan I like I wear the Robertson Hunting. Having said that, the first kilt I made was for my niece's husband, and she, to honor family and her grandmother, chose Duncan!
