I would indeed think the extra material in the fell could certainly account for the difference. I don't have a heavyweight SWK (yet... that will be changing today or tomorrow ) But, I have a standard, so I'm pretty familiar with the extra material. Just my two cents!

heh, shows where I'm at. When you said saffron, I didn't even think of the kilt tartan. I immediately thought of the plant itself, for dying my liene.

I'll be posting pictures and a full review soon. Thanks O'Neille and everyone else for all the reviews on the heavy weights. I honestly probably wouldn't have bought one if I hadn't read so many satisfied reviews. I hope Jerry adds some more tartans to his heavy weight line this coming season! These are fantastic.
