Did anyone get a copy of the newly released Wicked Tinkers CD?

Aye, I picked up a copy of Rant. It's a bit of a change for the Tinkers, not a radical departure, mind you, but some definite differences. The biggest change is - the Tinkers sing! Yeah, several of the songs have vocals - whoda thunk it? They've also invited some musical friends to join in the fun & add some different tonal textures, like, violin & whistle. And some of the songs are a bit mellower, not in a boring way, just not all martial beats & rowdy. While there's still plenty of the energetic Celtic tribal workouts that the Wicked Tinkers are well known for, there's some gentle broadening of the textures, tempos & styles on this album that I found most welcome. I think it's a step forward artistically for them. I'd say it's their best album yet; I'd highly recommend giving it a listen (or two or three...).
